We believe in choosing happiness
Our private practice is located near I-25 and Colorado Blvd. We utilize Play Therapy with children and teens in addition to working with adult individuals and families to create the empowerment to make choices that better fit the reality you envision for yourself. For too long, mental well-being has been something that people were supposed to figure out for themselves. We're here to tell you that it really isn't necessary to go it alone.
These are broad categories of the services we offer most frequently, but there are so many specific situations that could fall into these categories! If you don't see what you're looking for, just ask. If you need a service we don't provide we are more than happy to refer you to a qualified therapist that can meet your needs.

We always offer a complimentary phone consultation for individuals considering mental health services. This gives us the opportunity to speak about what you are looking for and will help us to ensure that we can offer the services that you are needing. If we're not a good fit, we are happy to give you alternative resources - it's important to us that you receive high quality services, and if we can't provide that we want to make sure you talk to someone who can!
Our current rates for counseling services are below. We will discuss the length of session that would be most beneficial to meet your needs. Phone consultations, written reports, or emails other than brief scheduling conversations are often part of the overall treatment process and will be billed at the provider's hourly rate in 15 minute increments. Payment is expected upon date of service, and we do require that a credit card be kept on file for late cancellations and missed appointments (all appointments must be canceled 24 hours prior to your session to avoid the session fee being billed). We accept all major credit cards, as well as checks or cash. Many clients prefer to use their flexible spending accounts for services as well. Your credit card will be automatically billed after your session unless prior arrangements have been made.

We are happy to provide you with an invoice that you may submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement or we can submit your out-of-network claim for you! There are many reasons to use insurance for mental health services, but it may surprise you to know that there are many reasons not to utilize insurance benefits. Here is a great article that discusses why many mental health practitioners choose not to accept insurance. The best way I know to explain it is this: Say you take your vehicle in for a tune-up and it costs $500. You submit that bill to your automobile insurance company and they deny the claim. You argue that it is necessary and preventative maintenance, needed to ensure that your car runs as well as it possibly can - and you're absolutely right, it is! Nevertheless, that is not going to be paid by your auto coverage. It's an investment that you know you need to make if you want your car to last and to perform at it's best. You're worth the same investment that your car is, so take care of yourself!
