Personal Interests: Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She loves to cheer on the Jayhawks during college basketball season! Often, she can be be seen doing handstands and cartwheels while trying to maintain her skills as a former competitive gymnast!

Professional Bio: Heather earned an undergraduate degree in human biology from the University of Kansas. She then earned a Masters in Counseling with an emphasis on couples and families from the University of Colorado Denver. She has previously worked in early childhood education, and has provided direct client care through Judi’s House and The Hazelden Betty Ford Children’s Center.

From Heather: “I believe in meeting my clients where they are. I work from a primarily child-centered approach, allowing the child to take the lead. Reflective listening and unconditional acceptance are at the core of healing. Depending on different strengths and needs, I am also able to use a more directive approach, allowing for more guided and specific activities.”
