DBT is comprised of four categories which focuses on different skills in each:
Mindfulness – Be present, stay in the moment
Distress Tolerance – Coping with strong, overbearing emotions
Emotional Regulation – Identifying, bringing awareness to, and dealing with emotions
Interpersonal Effectiveness – Building and maintaining strong relationships
The categories mentioned above will be addressed within the group over the course of 10 weeks. Worksheets, skill practice, and open discussion will all be a part of this group. This group is open to individuals who are between the ages of 15 and 17 years old.
